Kathmandu: Annapurna Neuro Hospital, located in Maitighar, Kathmandu, along with its employees, has provided NPR 3 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for the rescue and relief of people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi–Rasuwa area and floods and landslides in other parts of the country.

The hospital management and employees jointly contributed the amount as part of their social responsibility, aiming to support the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the natural disaster.
The unprecedented floods and landslides that occurred last Wednesday caused significant loss of life and property in several districts, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun. Roads, bridges, houses and other physical infrastructure have been damaged, while hundreds of families have been affected by the disaster.

The government has appealed to individuals, organizations, the private sector, government agencies, and national and international communities to contribute to the rescue and relief efforts.
Responding to the government’s appeal, Annapurna Neuro Hospital and its employees contributed NPR 3 million to the relief fund under their social responsibility initiative.

The hospital said that during such difficult times, the private sector and social organizations have an important role to play alongside the government in saving lives and supporting rescue and relief operations. It emphasized the need for cooperation and collective efforts from all sectors to provide immediate relief and necessary assistance to disaster-affected communities.
The hospital’s contribution is expected to further support ongoing rescue and relief efforts for people affected by the floods and landslides.
