25th Shrawan, Dhangadhi. Armed security personnel have entered the Kailali prison, which has been under control by prisoners.

Even security personnel have not been able to enter the prison, which has been tense since Saturday due to clashes between two groups of prisoners.

On Sunday afternoon, a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force entered the prison with weapons in front of the Human Rights Provincial Office, Dhangadhi.

The prisoners took complete control of the cell, locking it from the inside and not allowing anyone to enter.

The situation in the prison has not been brought under control even after 40 hours of the violent incident that left one person dead and 49 injured.

Recently, a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force entered Block A and Block B of the prison and started searching the situation inside.

As there is confusion over the number of prisoners in the prison, a team of security personnel will also conduct a count of the prisoners.
