Protesters have set fire to the Parliament building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. An angry group entered the Parliament building and set it on fire after police cracked down on the protest.

The fire has destroyed all the assembly halls and party offices inside the Parliament Building.

Police officers abandoned their security after a group of youths entered the parliament building waving the national flag of Nepal. Some protesters celebrated by snatching the guns of security personnel stationed there.

This is the first time that attacks, vandalism, and arson have occurred inside the Parliament building during political protests in Nepal.
