The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has implemented new rules for bringing family and relatives on visit visas.
The UAE has now made a provision that when sponsoring family, relatives, or friends in the UAE, the sponsor’s source of income must be strong.
According to the new UAE regulations, the minimum monthly salary of the sponsor must now be between 4,000 and 15,000 dirhams.
A separate monthly income limit is set for those bringing family, relatives, or friends.
If you want to take your parents, spouse, or children to the UAE on a visit visa, the minimum monthly salary must be four thousand dirhams.
If you are taking relatives such as grandparents, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, etc., the monthly salary of the person taking them should be 8,000 dirhams. Similarly, to bring relatives like uncles, aunts, and cousins, you will need to earn a monthly salary of 8,000 dirhams.
When applying for a visit visa, you will need to submit documents proving your relationship.
It is also possible to take friends other than relatives on a trip. However, it is mentioned that the sponsor’s salary must be 15,000 dirhams per month for this.
The applicant must submit a passport with at least 6 months validity and a return ticket.
Various media outlets there have reported that the UAE has introduced new arrangements to increase transparency and improve visit visa entry.
Since the latest protests, the UAE has stopped issuing visit visas to Nepalis. It has not been disclosed what policy it will adopt regarding Nepalis once the new rules come into effect.
