Kathmandu. Film producer Dilip Poudel passed away on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment.

Dilip Poudel, the producer of films like Jwala and Jeevan Sangharsh, passed away at 11:16 pm on Wednesday at Nepal Cancer Hospital in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur, while undergoing treatment.

He produced the film Jwala with actors including Rajesh Hamal, Sirjana Basnet, Sunil Thapa, Saroj Khanal, Krishti Mainali, Rupa Rana, Hari Prasad Rimal, Harihar Sharma, Shubhadra Adhikari, Tika Pahadi, Madandas Shrestha, and others.

Similarly, another film titled Jeevan Sangharsh was produced with actors like Rajesh Hamal, Mithila Sharma, Yubaraj Lama, Aardhana Kshetri, Utpala Khadka and others.

The 74-year-old had established the first legal accounting center in Nepal. He had brought the Ananda Accounting Center into operation from Dillibazaar in the capital.

He is also the founding president of the Nepal Association of Chartered Accountants and Lawyers and has been operating Simpani Kebab House in Om Shanti Chowk in Kathmandu, Doleshwar in Bhaktapur and Itahari.

The late Poudel’s last rites were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Wednesday night.
