Dhangadhi, July 25. Two girls have gone missing after drowning in the Mahakali River in Kanchanpur.

The missing are 7-year-old Sanvi Panta and 8-year-old Jibika Panta, both of Bhimdatta Municipality-11, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sagar Bohara, spokesperson of the District Police Office.

DSP Bohara said that they disappeared after being swept away while bathing in the river around 1:30 pm on Sunday.

The search for the missing girls is being carried out jointly by the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army.
