Kathmandu: Singer Asha Budha, who once represented Dang at the national level in the Nepali music scene, has made her comeback to singing after a long hiatus.
Asha has returned to the music industry with the Teej song ‘Bullet Bike’, written by renowned lyricist Lokraj Adhikari, who is also originally from Dang. According to Asha, Adhikari strongly encouraged her to return to singing through the song.
The release of ‘Bullet Bike’ has brought renewed attention to Asha’s comeback. She has previously collaborated with renowned singers, including Yam Baral and Dr. Govinda Acharya, in various songs and musical albums.
Speaking about her return, Asha said she had a lot of fun working on the Teej song and had greatly missed being involved in music after such a long break.
Asha has also appeared in the music video herself, portraying the role of a singer. Shilashma Hamal, Purnima Acharya and Om Sitoula, among others, feature in the video.
The video was shot by Subin Godar and edited by Nirajan KC. Shyam Patel has handled the choreography, while lyricist Lokraj Adhikari himself directed the visuals.
The music video has been released through the Highlights Nepal YouTube channel.
