Kathmandu: Teej song ‘Maitigharko Aangan’, sung by popular singer Nirmala Ghimire ‘Neeru’, has been released. The song features lyrics and music by journalist Suman Pandit, with musical arrangement by Ramesh Senchuri and mixing by Kumar Rana.
Standing out from the growing number of Teej songs being released in the market, ‘Maitigharko Aangan’ tells the emotional story of an elderly mother waiting at home for her daughters. The song portrays the pain of daughters who are unable to return to their maternal home even after a year, the longing to see their mother’s face, and the changing relationship with the maternal home after marriage.
The song also depicts the emotional struggles of women who have left their homes and gone abroad, remembering their mothers and childhood memories from far away. The story of a mother who gives birth to her daughters, sends them to their marital homes, and spends the rest of her life waiting at the doorstep has been presented in a deeply emotional manner.
The music video of ‘Maitigharko Aangan’ has been directed by Kamal Rai. Rang Paudel is the producer, while Gopal Katuwal serves as the executive producer. Ashesh Adhikari has played a key role in the audio production.
The video was shot by Shiva Dhakal, edited by Ram Prasad Chaudhary, and color-graded by Renish Phago. Dancers Jharana Risal and Dipsha Karki feature in the video.
