Kathmandu. Gokarneshwar Municipality Mayor Dipak Kumar Risal has been honored with the ‘Asia Global Excellence Award 2026’ for his contribution to the education and health sectors.
At a ceremony held on August 10 at the Siamese Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, as part of the Nepal–Thailand Friendship Festival and Asia Global Excellence Award 2026, Mayor Risal received the ‘Outstanding Asia Nepal Mayor Award for Education and Health’.

According to the certificate presented to him, Risal was recognized for his leadership in education and health, significant contributions to society, professional excellence, and dedicated service that has created a positive impact in the community.
The event, jointly organized by Vishwabyapi Utpadan Sanchar Pvt. Ltd. and the Himalayan Community Project, honored individuals who have made notable contributions in various fields.

Mayor Risal has been prioritizing education and health in Gokarneshwar Municipality and implementing various programs and services. In recent years, the municipality has focused on expanding health services, health insurance, improving hospital services, and providing scholarships in the education sector.
