Kathmandu. The discussion on the land bill, which was to take place today in the Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources Committee under the House of Representatives, has been postponed. A meeting was scheduled at 10 AM to discuss the report on some amendments to the Nepal Land Act. However, it has been postponed.

The meeting was adjourned due to ongoing discussions on the bill report, informed committee secretary Shivdatt Baral. The meeting on Tuesday was also adjourned. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, the Ministry of Forests and Environment, and the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs had prepared the draft of the bill. The draft of the bill had already been distributed to the committee members.

Some MPs expressed dissatisfaction that the ministry has prepared a draft of the bill. It is at this time that the meetings have been continuously postponed.
