Kathmandu. The CPN (Maoist Center) has called an official meeting. Spokesman Agni Prasad Sapkota informed us that the meeting was called to discuss the latest political situation, the special transformation campaign, the one-year tenure of the government, party unity, the legislative conference, and other issues. He said that the meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on January 3. At the same meeting, Sapkota expressed his belief that a unity adjustment committee could be formed to advance the unity process with the Baburam-led NESP.
A special decision can be made at the office-bearers meeting. “We will seriously discuss issues such as the review of the government’s one-year tenure, the review of the campaign, the latest political situation, the Legislative Assembly, and the Unity Adjustment Committee,” he said while informing about the meeting.
The Maoist Special Transformation Campaign, which started on August 16, will end on January 16. The Prachanda-led government is completing one year on January 11. The government has been criticized in the recent Ncell case. On November 6, NESP formed a Unity Adjustment Committee under the leadership of Chairman Baburam, but the Maoists have not formed an adjustment committee so far. Due to the extension of time for the transformation campaign, the Legislative Assembly scheduled to be held in December has been affected.
